One thing that’s always on people’s minds is whether solar panels can survive extreme weather events such as hail. Tesla’s new solar roof definitely can.

The video below shows the Tesla roof standing strong against a 5 cm hailstone that is zipping along at 160 km/h. Two traditional pieces of roofing are also tested for comparison purposes.
